Micro Cutey Honey

Just an idea I've been itching to try out. wanted to be as clean as possible with this, and how it looks now, it still feels a tad incomplete. I'll probably come back to this idea first chance I get.

so about a week ago I was working on stuff, and my friend did edits of a pic I posted to help me with color choices:

see full post here
Of course I changed the belt since last update:

which I think works better for her.

just for context this is the project which is making me drop nearly everything else for the time being, and pretty much helps me practice working on styrene more.

Just playing the waiting game for tonight. Excited to see some items that are micro-related in the next few weeks, hopefully everything works out and I can help a few guys in need of some figures.

2012 hobby room

I've had this diorama since I think around 2 years, and recently it got a makeover, mostly with the fixtures as it now has a mini-kitchen and more utensils but I've also taken out some things like the extra seats and tables, and some extras like the famicom (lol not to scale) and the arcade duck ride.

I think I like the current setup now than what I started with, though I think I'll replace some stuff as I come across more tiny props. right now it has that look I like, where it's a room where you can basically chill and do some stuff.

handy little helpers.

Left: microlady leg rig. Right: microlady arm rig.

made these micro-rigs the other day to help me disassemble/assemble Microlady parts (mainly those held together by pins). Made these after realizing that doing the process in my old way spent too much time and did too much damage to my work area, so I built these things to hold the parts steady while I work.

The process is basically wedging the part into the holding rig that was designed to fit it tightly (2) and using a small screw bit and a hammer to extract the pins into the catcher holes embedded at the bottom of the rig (3)

With the rigs, there's less chance of breakage on the pins, and no damage to my desk or fingers, lol.

Micro Hauls! (Collecticon)

Visited collecticon again this year, and as with every year (or convention) I always seem to luck out on good deals.

This year luck brought me these three: New Acroyear Red, 2003 Ninja Microman, and SAS Micro Devilman "Dandarian". I also bought some Cheapo Gashapon figs I could use for Microlady customs

I immediately found a use for one of them for my recently made repaint of a yellow material force body.

I think I'll call her "Bee". Now she'll need some accessories though.

Digging your own grave, building your own coffin, carving your own tombstone

Getting the runes on the thing is harder than it looks. Still, definitely a fun thing to do, the only challenging part is trying to check if I got the symbols right on all sides with the limited amount of references I have.

Can't wait to finish this thing.
